Context

B2B software and data solutions company selling to a defined technical and business buyer set.
Organic traffic at the start: ~300 visits/month.
Organic had no predictable impact on pipeline and was not trusted by sales.

Timeframe: 12 months

🔥 Problem

SEO activity existed but behaved inconsistently.

  • Rankings appeared and disappeared
  • Blogs pulled broad traffic, not decision-stage buyers
  • Landing pages were passive, not conversion-oriented
  • Organic leads were irregular and difficult to forecast

The business didn’t need “more SEO.”

It needed organic to behave like a reliable demand channel.

💡Insight

Analysis of Search Console, GA, and lead data showed three clear patterns:

  1. Queries that converted were use-case and solution-specific, not category-level
  2. Pages that sustained rankings were part of topic clusters, not isolated assets
  3. Google consistently rewarded sites that demonstrated depth within a narrow problem space

This made the path forward obvious —
Organic growth had to be rebuilt as a multi-level system, not a content calendar.
